TENJIN (LAMA) – MAN BEHIND THE SUMMIT SUCCESS IN DHAULAGIRI I (8167m)

Tenjin Sherpa (aka LAMA) one of the veteran Sherpa Sardar (Guide) at Seven Summit Treks, breaking the trail in Dhaulagiri I this autumn.

~ On 30th September at 9 Am Lama started opening the route in Dhaulagiri from Camp III, after 21+ hours of continued effort and hazard climb, along with his fixing team partners he managed to reach the top, being the first of the season to reach the summit of Mt. Dhaulagiri I (8167m).

~ Tenjin (LAMA) holds the Guinness World Records title of “Most siblings to climb Mt. Kangchenjunga together” as he along with his three brothers together reached the summit of Kangchenjunga between 5:00 and 5:15 p.m. on 15 May 2019. Inhabited of Makalu, Sankhuwasbha, Lama climbed Everest twice, Kangchenjunga once, Lhotse twice, Dhaulagiri twice, Manaslu 5 times and several 7000ers and 6000ers in Nepal.

~ Earlier in 2021 (Spring) was a part of fixing team in Everest and Lhotse as well.

Nel video, postato ieri da Chhang Dawa Sherpa, possiamo vedere Tenjin Sherpa, noto anche come ‘LAMA’, uno dei veterani Sherpa Sardar (Guida) di Seven Summit Treks, impegnato sul Dhaulagiri I, questo autunno. C’è lui dietro ai successi registrati in questa stagione sulla settima montagna più alta del mondo.

Il 30 settembre scorso, alle 9 del mattino (ora in Nepal), ‘LAMA’ ha iniziato ad aprire la via da Campo III. Dopo più di 21 ore di scalata, insieme ai suoi compagni del team incaricato di fissare le corde, è riuscito a raggiungere per primo in questa stagione, la vetta del Dhaulagiri I (8167 m).

Tenjin “LAMA” Sherpa detiene il Guinness World Records per il “maggior numero di fratelli ad aver scalato il Kangchenjunga insieme” titolo assegnatogli quando il 15 maggio 2019 tra le 17:00 e le 17:15 (ora in Nepal) – insieme ai suoi tre fratelli – raggiunse il vertice del Kangchenjiunga.

“LAMA” ha scalato con successo l’Everest (2 volte), il Kangchenjunga (1 volta), il Lhotse (2 volte), il Dhaulagiri (2 volte), il Manaslu (5 volte), oltre a diversi Settemila e Seimila del Nepal.

All’inizio della primavera 2021 (primavera) faceva parte del team di fissaggio corde anche su Everest e Lhotse.
