Persistono forti venti in quota. Team fermo a Campo 3
Nonostante le condizioni meteo estreme, ieri 23 febbraio gli Sherpa della spedizione commerciale al K2, hanno attrezzato lo Sperone degli Abruzzi da Campo 3 a Campo 4 e sono rientrati in sicurezza al Campo 3, sopra la Piramide Nera.
I piani iniziali prevedevano l’arrivo in vetta oggi, ma in considerazione dei forti venti ad oltre 40 km/h, il tempo instabile e conseguenti problemi legati alla sicurezza, la squadra ha deciso di rimanere a Campo 3. Qui, insieme a Nima Gyalzen Sherpa (leader delle guide) e a Grace Tseng (unica cliente), ci sono Chhiring Sherpa, Dawa Sherpa, Furi Sherpa e Ningma Dorje Tamang. Gli altri due membri della spedizione, Ngimatendi Sherpa e il pakistano Muhammad Sharif Rasool, sono al Campo Base.
Domani o dopodomani, in base alle condizioni meteo, il team deciderà se lanciare la spinta alla vetta o scendere al campo inferiore. Ricordiamo che i membri della spedizione utilizzano ossigeno supplementare.

K2 Winter Expedition Update:
24th February, 2022 :
Despite the harsh weather condition, the Sherpas successfully fixed the route till Camp 4 and made it back to Camp 3 last night. The earlier plan was to get to the summit by today or tomorrow. But with the gusts of wind of more than 40 km/h and concerns over time and safety, the team have decided to stay put at Camp 3 for today.Depending on the weather conditions for tomorrow and the day after, the team will decide whether to go forward for the summit push or descend towards the lower camp.
